Pecos Police Open House Showcases New City Facility
The Pecos Police Department invites the public to an open house on Sunday February 5 from 2 30 to 5 00 p m at the new corner of 6th and Oak streets facility. Chief Gene Martin praises the modern jail court room and offices with 15 staff including nine officers four dispatchers and one humane officer. Remodeling and equipment cost about 57000 with Lorraine Henderson City Secretary noting the total. Visitors will be served coffee donuts and candy.

Poll shows Nixon would win if election held now
A national poll by Sindlinger Co. found 50.6 percent would back Nixon’s re election, 16.7 percent opposed him, and 24.9 percent were undecided.
