Pilar Chavez and Orlando Lopez were jailed Saturday for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces and consuming alcohol in a city park after officers observed them drinking and discarding marijuana seeds. Bonds set at $5,000 each.

Deaths Mrs Francisco Ornelas and Mary Burleson
Services were held for Mrs Francisco Ornelas 100 in Pecos with burial at Santa Rosa Cemetery. She died Friday morning in Pecos Nursing Home and had lived in Pecos 95 years. Survivors include sons Ignacio Pedro Jesus and three daughters, plus many grandchildren. Also noted is the death of Mary Burleson 73 of Camp Wood with services in Camp Wood First Baptist Church and burial in Vance Cemetery. She was born April 9 1903 in Edwards County and leaves several children and grandchildren.
