Pecos hosts Cantaloupe Classic after Trinity loss

Pecos Eagles host eight teams in the Cantaloupe Classic at Pecos High School amid a six game streak. Interim coach Christina Mata praised the team’s improved defense and limited rotation errors after a 25-23 24-26 25-20 25-22 defeat at Midland Trinity. The Eagles open pool play Friday versus Van Horn Sierra Blanca and Kermit with Fort Stockton Marfa Fort Davis and Midland Christian in their pool.
