Father of R V Nabers Dies After Heart Failure
W. J. Nabers known as Uncle Joel, a pioneer Ranger and Indian fighter, died of heart failure at his son Tomaz Desdemona's home in Comanche. Born in Bell County in 1848, he moved to Comanche in 1857 and lived there ever since. He was 81, had long Methodist and Masonic affiliations, and survived by five sons and three daughters. His wife had died about a year and a half earlier. R. V. Nabers left for Comanche upon news of the death.
