Campbell becomes No 1 pick as Oilers land Earl Campbell
Houston trades Jimmy Giles and two first round picks to Tampa Bay to secure Earl Campbell as the No 1 choice. Campbell, a Texas standout, says it’s great to play near home. Campbell led college rushing, scoring and all purpose yardage.
