The Davis Mountains Bus Line seeks Texas Railroad Commission approval for a Pecos to Presidio route via Verhalen Saragosa Balmorhea Fort Davis Alpine Marfa Shafter and Presidio. Depart Pecos at 8 00 a m arrive Presidio 1 00 p m with return trips. Owners are Mrs E S Niccolls of Marfa and Mr and Mrs Bill Cook of Presidio. If approved operations could begin between April 25 and May 1.

Pecos High School students earned three medals at the district literary meet held Thursday in Monahans. Rodney Sprakman and David Nowell won first in their class, Mark Smith took second in science, and Johnny Miller placed third in persuasive speech. The four advance to regional competition April 24 at Odessa College. A bus carried students from Pecos at 7 a.m. to the event.
