About 60 bed Reeves County hospital work continues at a torrid pace with 26 on site including carpenters, laborers, electricians and iron workers. Foreman Fred Grimes reports the $2.5 million project is within a week of schedule and 95 percent of workers are local with skilled craftsmen earning about 6 dollars an hour and laborers 2.50. Minor delays arose from soil acquisition for the six foot foundation fill.

Bishop reports CB radio stolen
A citizens band radio valued at 345 dollars was taken from a truck parked at a local motel during the night. Police said Jack Bishop of Artesia New Mexico reported the theft and that the radio and its brackets were removed from the vehicle.

No injuries reported in two car collisions at intersection
