J B Claxton Dies at 78 in Mesa Area
Johnnie Brooks Claxton 78 died Tuesday en route to Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Services were held Friday at Gibbons Bunker Desert View Chapel in Mesa with graveside rites at Memory Lawn in Phoenix. He moved from Apache Trail to Payson 49 years ago and has lived in Mesa the last seven years. Survivors include a son John D, sister Mrs Je well Wilson, and a grandchild.
