Episcopal split shifts church services in Payson
The Anglican Episcopal and St. Pauls Episcopal churches in Payson switch locations after a Dec. 20 court order. Anglicans move to St. Philips Catholic Church with services at 8 a.m. and noon and Thursday classes at 3:45 p.m. The diocese group resumes 10 a.m. services at St. Pauls. Rt. Rev. Payson Area to gain four voting precincts in Gila County
Gila County Supervisors split Payson Precincts One and Two into four districts extending to the East Verde River and Little Green Valley. Precincts are defined by major roads, with Precinct One south of Longhorn Road and west of Beeline Highway, Precinct Two south of Highway 260 and east of Beeline. Voters north of Highway 260 and Longhorn Road must reregister at the Justice of the Peace office on January 6. Town election set for March 28.
