Six youths named Good Guys this week with three separate acts of citizenship. Six year old Alex Zamorano returned a lost wallet to its owner at Julia Randall Elementary. In Pine-Strawberry five youths were praised for spotting a fire, extinguishing flames, and removing a burning log to prevent spread. The group included Geoff Hunt and Joe Randall, both cited for quick actions alongside Kevin, Buddy Randall, and George Howe at Payson High School.

Christmas Coloring Contest Deadline Set by Payson Roundup
Monday is the deadline for entries to the Payson Roundup Christmas Coloring Contest. Children aged 3 to 11 must submit by 5 p.m. December 19 to the Roundup office. Three age groups will be judged, with first prize $7.50, second $5, and third $2.50. Twelve local merchants sponsor the event.

Seniors get new church run to aid area residents
A joint project by First Southern Baptist Church Payson Assembly of God and Community Presbyterian Church will offer daytime weekly classes for senior citizens starting Jan 27. The interdenominational program, modeled after a Kansas City initiative, features arts and crafts world history and social activities taught by volunteers with support from Eastern Arizona College adult education.
