The first car of Jonathan apples left the valley last Wednesday shipped by Denny & Co. to New York. Packing at Fruitland is run by F. H. Hogue for Denny & Co with A. Blair directing the fruit packing. Start of picking and shipping is expected Monday of next week with PF. Tussing and others preparing to begin. By late next week or early the following week, most packing houses will be active for the season.
