Thieves Seek Fugitives After Stolen Car Near Meridian
A chase led through Payette to Weiser where authorities learned the two men who hijacked a Chalmers Six from Overmeyer near Emmett had been arrested near Meridian. The car owner and companion were released after the hijackers were stopped in a mud hole by a Gem County deputy and jailed in Gem County.
