Payette Pays Tribute To Soldier Thomas McClanatan Died In France
Payette mourns Thomas McClanatan 23, of Payette High School, who died in action in France on September 23. A WWI volunteer, he left Payette April 26 1918 for Brighton Colorado then Camp Funston and sailed for Europe June, landing in England June 20. He served as a private in a Machine Gun Battalion. his brother Ross was a First Lieutenant at Camp Breckenridge. The community extends sympathy and honors his sacrifice for freedom.
