Making an alfalfa sprayer from a fruit grower’s sprayer
Extension Circular No. 25 describes converting a fruit sprayer into an alfalfa weevil spray unit. Two home made booms with ten nozzles provide a twenty foot width. The foldable boom attaches to the existing sprayer and, when in use, remains within the machine width. The device promises a uniform spray that pays back the modest modification cost.
