Patch for lieutenant governor earns broad support in Idaho

The nomination bid of L. Y. Patch draws cordial Republican support. Patch, born in Iowa and raised in Nebraska, heads Payette Canning Company and is a fruit grower and dairyman. A former colonel in the Idaho National Guard, he rose to adjutant general, seen as a strong party asset if nominated and elected. The piece also notes Wilson’s April action: reducing 5,600 acres in Targhee National Forest, with 1,450 acres of government land deemed valuable for agriculture, and forest land moved under Blackfoot land office jurisdiction.
