Automobile Burned Near Parks Corner
E W Herringtons Studebaker Six was totally destroyed by fire Friday near the Parks corner on the State Highway. He noticed flames from the bottom near his foot and stopped, but the grease and engine area were a mass of flames. The cause is believed to be defective wiring though the gasoline tank did not explode, and the car was insured with Herrington already receiving settlement.

North Sixth Street Running Scrap Leaves Neighbors Amused
Reported on Tuesday a local street clash near North Sixth Street involved an automobile attack and a knife. Witnesses say two men clashed over a disputed collection and fought for several blocks before winding down.
