Merchants Organize Protective Credit Association

A Payette meeting of almost every business house formed a merchants protective credit group. P S Stone of Nampa spoke on its use, noting a secretary tracks deadbeat customers and a card index records who pays on time. A committee was formed to draft by laws and a follow up meeting will set the association.

The regular men's meeting is planned for next Sunday in YMCA reception rooms with Professor Charles Green as speaker. Special music, chess and checker tourney rules set, contest extends weeks with five-game series. Basketball beat College of Idaho 22 to 21 at Caldwell. AYMCA gym class last week praised. ticket sales urged for Friday evening concert at the theatre to fund a piano project, featuring orchestra, glee clubs, solos, and patriotic numbers.

Three Twins musical at Wheaton Theatre draws big crowd

The Wheaton Theatre hosts the musical Three Twins on Saturday February 13. The show, previously a Chicago Whit ney Opera hit and New York run, features lavish costumes, striking electrical effects, and a lively Comedie act led by Victor Worley and Bessie Clifford. The cast includes Willan Flanagan Rezina Mortis Edward Wade and many others. Mrs HM Williams hosted an Altar Society tea for Catholic Church members at Lovers Lane on Thursday afternoon.

The Payette city council debated the salary ordinance then passed it under suspension. Citizens urged action on bootlegging. a three member committee was appointed to investigate unlawful liquor sales in the city. Local officials announced election duties, street curbing reviews, and notices for upcoming meetings while reporting births, deaths, and community events including a seventh son and a pneumonia death in Boise.
