Truck Passes Narrow Hill Cut See The Grange Mill Trip
A large party of Grange Co operative Saw Mill stockholders rode to the mill on a trip led by Guy Howard in a big truck. On Black Canyon hill the truck slipped over the grade while passing a car coming down. Howard steadied the descent by crumpling the truck to stay right side up. Some riders were bruised when they tumbled down rocks but all returned safely that evening. The visit left them optimistic about the mill’s outlook. Pendleton Oregon.
