Auto Crash Near New Plymouth Injures Stanley
Mr. W. B. Stanley suffered broken ribs and possible internal injuries after a collision one mile south of New Plymouth. A Baker Oregon woman driving skidded at the second curve, overturning the vehicle carrying Jennings and Stanley, while others escaped serious harm. Authorities cited careless driving and excessive speed at the curve.

Fire Department Fights Yard and Canary Pen Blaze
The town fire crew responded Monday afternoon to a large fire in Coughanour's cat tail patch near his feed yards. Wind spread flames toward a slough and neighboring barns. Canary pens and song birds were scorched but birds were freed. Fire origin unknown. crews cleared weeds and rubbish, and some damage occurred but overall the fire did more good than harm.

Bright Lights Cause Accident Near Payette on Oregon Highway
S W Giesler tipped his Fliver last Saturday night near Payette after colliding with a car with bright lights, escaping injury aside from an eight mile walk into Payette. The car was later rolled back on the road and driven home as if nothing occurred. Changes occur in city tickets for April 24 with C A Smith declining, George H Smail filling vacancy, and several Democratic and People's Party shifts in ward council candidates.
