The Payette city council authorized a contract with Buffalo Pitts Steam Roller Co for twelve ton road roller a rock crusher and improved road grader. Delivery promised in three weeks with an expert to instruct staff for two weeks. Buffalo price beat others by about 2000 dollars and the move signals a major street improvement effort.

Preliminary Work on Electric Line Survey in Payette
A six engineer crew led by R L Ewong of Cleveland Engineering gathered statistics for a planned Idaho Oregon Light and Power Company electric railway from Caldwell to Weiser. They camp at Payette's Commercial hotel and survey lands, population, dairy production, schooling, and transport readiness by horseback along the Snake River. The team seeks rancher input on produce, prices, milk, cream, and potential dairy expansion if an electric line is built. They expect to be in the area a week to ten days. An annual school meeting for Canyon County District No 1 is set for April 15 1912 at the district schoolhouse from 1 to 2 o'clock for trustee elections and related business.

The Payette Cold Storage Company held its regular annual stockholders meeting at the end of April. Directors reported on building and equipment, storage of peaches apples pears grapes and other produce under refrigeration, and noted strong fruit quality and aging storage records. The capital stock was increased from 50000 to 100000, the fiscal year moved to December 31, and new board members were elected with Charles F. Muller as president and C R Mandeville as secretary and treasurer. Mrs. E S Murray arrived to manage her newly purchased Payette ranch.
