Nancy Adeline Jones born August 18, 1858 died September 10, 1931 at 78. She married J. T. Lynch in 1872 and had seven children, four living, with twenty nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She later married Enoch Sherman in 1929. Services held September 11 at the M. E. Church with burial in Patoka cemetery.

Descendants of Levi Belcher gathered at Odin Illinois for a long weekend reunion from Friday afternoon into Sunday noon. Attendees from Mt. Auburn St Louis Elgin Greenville Aledo Detroit Tamalco Chicago and other towns shared meals conversed and viewed photographs before visiting Henry Belcher’s farm near Patoka and reuniting with family in Odin. One sister Mrs Jessie Belcher Scott of Bloomington was absent.

James Wesley Eagan born November 3 1854 Fosterburg died September 7 1931 at 8 00 am. He married Emma Arnold on October 17 1878 and had nine children two preceded him in death. Obituary: Major Morris Lamborn Passes at 53
Major Morris Lamborn of Vernon Park, born August 21 1878 in Adaline Kansas, died September 9 1931 after seven months illness. He married Mary Effie Nichols November 25 1902 and lived most of his life in Illinois. He joined the Vernon I C O F lodge 324 in 1920, was baptized into the Pentecostal church about seven years ago, and is survived by his wife two sisters and one brother and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held September 11 at Vernon Park Church conducted by Rev J H Reeter, burial Vernon Cemetery.

Tri County Rural Carriers Meet At Alma Picnic
Tri County Rural Letter Carriers held their annual picnic and basket dinner Sunday September 13 at Alma fair grounds. State president Simmons attended along with carriers from adjoining counties and the Ladies Auxiliary. At 2:00 pm both groups met in the pavilion for a program with music by the Jefferson County R L C band. About 340 R L C boys formed a ball team and played Alma all star team. game still in progress at 5:30. The group voted thanks to Mr Gregory for use of grounds and pavilion.
