The Patoka Woman's Club held its annual family night at the local gymnasium with a program of solos readings a life objectives talk and a youth solo. Mrs. Augusta Peek received a State Federation pin as retiring president while Mrs. Leta Beery was welcomed as incoming president and new officers were announced.

Jones 65th Wedding Anniversary Celebrated in Vernon
The Jones family gathered for the 15th annual reunion to honor Mr and Mrs W J Jones of Vernon on Sunday September 15 1935. The couple married September 15 1870 and have five children nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The lawn table centerpiece featured pink and green flowers with Mr Jones the 89 year old eldest guest.
