The Patoka Saddle Club held its first meeting at the Raymond Candle farm at 8 p.m. Tuesday October 8 with 22 members joining. James Weinsman was elected president and Douglas Ballard secretary treasurer with Terry Torrence assisting. Regular meetings set for November 7 at 7 30 p.m. at Terry Torrence s. A trail ride and wiener roast was announced for Sunday October 27 meeting at Patoka Park at 1 p.m.
The Sunbeam Foreign Mission book The Lantern and the Song will be taught at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon October 19 at 2 p.m. Excerpts from Playmates in Japan will be shared. A talent show will be held and the Bible memory verse will include the word give. Mrs. James Thomas will host the nibble nook.
