The Patoka Register lists Pike as Editor and Publisher and Susy D. Pike as Assistant Editor and Manager. The paper is published every Friday at Patoka Illinois with a 1907 post office entry and subscription rates of 1.50 dollars annually in advance within Marion County and 2.00 dollars outside the county.
Sixteen Sunbeams met at the Baptist Church on Saturday May 24. Nancy Snider welcomed guests Mrs. Halden Nelson and Gary Plowman. Officers elected include Carolyn Snider as President and Don Nattier as Vice President. Secretary Roy Eastman and Ruth Thomas as Assistant Secretary. Treasurer Pat Maloy and Kathryn Nattier as Assistant Treasurer. Plans launched for Vacation Bible School June 2 to 13 and a parade on May 31. A visitation program was arranged. Mrs. Rolla Sparks and Mrs. W Mitchell ran the nibble nook. Refreshments featured sandwiches, decorated cakes on paper doilies and limeade.

Illinois College of Agriculture tests show baking soda powders do not halt spoilage of high moisture alfalfa whether chopped or loose.
