Death of William B. Chilton in Centralia
William B. Chilton died Sunday at 4 p.m. in Centralia at age 59 years 9 days born near Patoka June 16 1874 son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Chilton. He served twelve years in the U S Army starting 1898 in the Spanish American War. Survived by wife Josephine Chilton and son Kenneth, plus brother Xelpho of Tul es Okla. Funeral held Wednesday 2:30 p.m. at the cemetery in Patoka with Rev J M Smith officiating. Burial at Patoka cemetery. J W Alexander noted as a business visitor in Salem Monday evening.
