Local families including the Paynes and Eyeman hosted and visited relatives in Bear Haven over the weekend. Visitors from Odin, Keysport, Vandalia, Decatur, Salem, and other nearby towns joined in casual dinners and visits. The Patoka Saddle Club Tail Ride and weiner roast drew 16 horses and 1 mule with plenty of laughs as participants enjoyed the event.
A notice says a trail ride departs the Park next Sunday at 1 PM. There is no weiher roast this time. The event follows a previous Wheat sign up and diversion payments program.
The Marion County Board of Review in Salem Illinois adopted 1964 rules and set sessions from June 15 through weekly weekdays with additional Saturdays.
