Local Residents Attend Socials and Visits in Salem and Surrounding Areas
Vernon Bayliss at Greer Hospital Vandalia for examination and observation. Mrs. Ben Saterlee of DePue arrives for extended stay. A Democratic speaking and supper in Salem last week drew many residents including Roy Veal property movers and local families. Mrs. Vernie Nattier of Patoka and Mrs. Delphis Jolliff visited Effie Hathaway. Several residents traveled to Springfield for events and medical checkups while others visited relatives in Stonington and Vandalia. A quilt prize was awarded by the Good Neighbors Club in Patoka.
