El Zora Brumfield aged 73 died Sunday at St Marys Hospital July 10 born August 4 1893 in East Fork Township Clinton County daughter of Maurice Andrew and Katherine Barbara Carter married Ora Brumfield in 1913. Lived most of life in the area moved to Sandoval last year. Survived by sons Raymond Vernon Herbert Patoka Dale Auburn one brother James Carter Joliet and two sisters Irene Herron Joliet and Hattie Emery Lincoln. 9 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren. Funeral 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Rev Dale Bennett officiating burial in Patoka cemetery.

Zion news reports Nell Belcher, mother of Marvin Bassett and relatives, suffered a heart attack at noon Sunday. She showed some improvement Tuesday morning after a restful night. Her room is 324 at St. Marys Hospital Centralia. Many relatives and friends visited or cared for her and nearby families during the week.
