OCR reads a jumble of monetary figures and codes including 32 307 36 and 303 207 72 with repeated amounts 80 050 07 51 315 01 and 6 597128 plus 1 260 77 and 939 28. A later entry shows 25 000 and 18, but no clear context or narrative.
Attendance at Sunday School reached twenty. The Ladies Aid reported 37 dollars from Saturdays ice cream supper on June 22. Numerous locals visited relatives and hosted guests over the weekend including the Hicks and Ticknor families with multiple calls and birthday celebration at Mrs Branchs home. Glen Hicks sustained a minor injury from a slipping pry pole. Charlie Mason is improving and various residents visited Centralia and Champaign area relatives.

An ice cream supper will be held at Bear Creek Church to raise funds for Sunday School and the church on July 20. Mr and Mrs Neil Davidson were Patoka visitors on Sunday en route to Salem where they will stay for an indefinite period.
Rollin Smith delivered maple sugar in Centralia on Monday as a supper fundraiser at Mr. John Borings yard benefiting Jones cemetery. Numerous local families and visitors from Alma and Kinmundy and Pleasant Mound are listed as visiting relatives and neighbors Sunday through Thursday.
