Vernon Fourth of July Visitors and Local Burlesque
A long list of visitors from Decatur Bloomington Champaign and other towns attended Vernon s Fourth of July celebration. The night featured a burlesque Vernon band parody by Mrs Danbury with improvised instruments and rhymed announcements. Local residents hosted relatives and friends from St Louis Chicago Vandalia and Centralia with many returning home after weekend visits.
