Illinois farmers gain corn acreage relief under new rules

Marion County farmers affected by heavy spring rains may receive special consideration under the corn and hog adjustment program. Rulings from the Agricultural Adjustment Administration allow reduced 1933 corn acreage to be used in calculating the 1932-33 average, if 1933 planted corn fell 10 percent or more from 1932.
