Edwin C Toothaker Dies at 73 in Sandoval
Edwin C Toothaker 73 longtime Sandoval resident died Friday night December 30 at his home from heart disease after three months under a physician's care. Born May 18 1859 in Rangeley Lake Maine he moved to Illinois at age 12 and later married Elma Hawkins October 1881 in Carbondale. He worked as bookkeeper at Sandoval Coal Co then ran a general store for over 20 years retiring in 1918 and later worked in Civil and Mining engineering. Survived by widow Elna Toothaker two sons Dr Jack E Toothaker Centria WA and Harry H Toothaker Augusta GA three grandchildren Florence le Joel Harry and Sucust. Services to be held January 1.
