After Mrs. Mitzel's death there will be no services on Sunday December 30. Pastor D. Mitzel will resume preaching January 6 at Patoka 6 45 AM Vernon 7 00 PM with Arnold Chapel at 11 AM on the second Sunday and back to Vernon in the evening. He asks for prayers as he continues his duties.

Auto Accident Near Stewart School House Claims Woman

Last Saturday about 8 p m a severe crash occurred at the west curve from Stewart School House when a Hudson left the road and overturned killing a woman instantly. Mr Williams and family of Benton, en route to Springfield for Christmas, were in the car. others were only slightly injured. Coroner held inquest at 10 o'clock corroborating the facts.

The death of J. L. Peddicord occurred at his home southeast of Patoka on Wednesday morning. The funeral is set for today Friday. He belonged to a well known local family and spent most of his life in the area. A complete obituary will appear next week.
