Cannery Work to Begin Friday Amid Delays
The cannery's start has been delayed by slow delivery of a line shaft and pulleys. A message says the parts arrive today and Shrigley aims to begin Friday noon, with workers who are engaged asked to report for work. The Patoka Belle brand will soon market, and Nellie Hayward of Salem will run the office. A Friday evening gathering at the Davidson home honored Misses Spangler Brown and Mr Hewitt of St. Louis visiting town, with music and refreshments enjoyed by many locals.
