Summer Race Nears Half Mark at Ellis Park Kentucky
Ellis Park in Kentucky advances toward the halfway point of its 29 day summer racing meet. Four handicap events remain on the schedule starting with the Evansville Press Handicap for three year olds and up run over six furlongs. The Governions Handicap was run at one mile, while the Press Handicap targets sprinters and purse money. The film patrol test in its first season promises cleaner racing and helps officials review fouls from start to finish.
