Inoculate Soybean Seed This Spring Warns Smith
Floyd Smith, agriculture teacher at Sandoval Community High School, urges farmers to inoculate all soybean seed this spring, especially on land not repeatedly grown with soybeans. He warns shortages of fats and oils loom due to the war, and says inoculation raises yields 10 to 15 percent and helps soil nitrogen, making it essential for war-time production. Commercial inoculants save labor, and farmers should obtain them early.
