News of the death of Mr. S. M. Hester, longtime Marion County resident near Centralia and Fairman, is announced. He lived on the Hester farm, father of four, and his funeral is set for Thursday afternoon at 2 o clock, led by Rev. J. M. Smith.

Sandoval Mother Answers Last Roll Call

Mary E. Warner born near Zenia Illinois on April 7 1844 lived here until her 1864 marriage to Marion Chaffin. They had ten children. Marion died in 1913. She leaves two sons James of Sandoval and William of St Louis, two daughters in law, eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday evening conducted by Rev J M Smith with burial in Carrigan cemetery.

Flora Ballance Chandler Dorris dies in 1928 tribute

Flora Letitia Ballance, born November 18 1871, died March 31 1928 in Centralia Illinois. She married Elsworth Chandler in 1892, later J T Dorris in 1917, leaving husband Guy Chandler Ruth Wickenhouser Helen Chandler and seven grandchildren. Burial was at Jones cemetery after services at Zion Church.
