Forecast Rain for Southern California Late Friday

Truck Driver Gets Jail for Duarte Crash Deaths

Edward M. Gutierrez, 22, rubbish truck driver, was sentenced to three months in county jail and three years probation by Pasadena Superior Judge Kenneth C. Newell for the July Duarte crash that killed Robert A. Hall 26, his wife Jeanne 24, and their son Anthony 1 of Temple City. Gutierrez must serve 90 days in jail and surrender his license after being found guilty of manslaughter in a non jury trial. He collided with the Duarte family’s car while turning into a restaurant driveway.
