Caribou Hunting Licenses Open in The Pas District
Local hunters in The Pas and surrounding area may apply for Woodland Caribou licenses as zones seven eleven twelve and two three open. A total of 350 licenses are available on a first come basis with September 20 to November 30 season. Resident licenses cost 20 and non residents 100.

Manitoba Telephone cuts late night Sunday long distance rates
The Manitoba Telephone System announces cheaper long distance rates for calls between midnight and 6 am and all day Sunday. A three minute Manitoba call drops to 65 cents, with Winnipeg to Dauphin at 40 cents and Selkirk to Swan River at 45 cents. National rates fall to a $1.00 maximum for three minutes, down from $1.95.

Fitness Course Set For Men In The Pas
The Kelsey Recreation Commission offers a men’s fitness program for reconditioning or maintaining condition. Taught by University of Manitoba instructor Walter Koshel, the course uses the latest material and begins at Mary Duncan School gymnasium.
