New Pumping Station to Drain Land Into Carrot River System
The Pasquia area gains a new pumping station to direct water into the Carrot River System and ultimately the Saskatchewan River. It aims to reduce runoff from heavy rain and may raise crop quality from forage to marketable cereals. A Mile 14 station has operated nine years, initially installed by the federal government.
