Marigold Centre Opens Door For Handicapped Children
On Monday October 16 1872 the Marigold Centre began operations in the Lutheran Church basement as a preschool for handicapped children aged 2 6 years funded mainly by donations. Volunteers are paired 1 to 1 with children as the program starts and the church offers space free of charge. The association seeks ongoing funding and volunteers and notes no government grants are available for such preschool programs.
