13 Yr Old Hunting Fatality in The Pas Area
Geoffrey Knoll 13 died in St. Anthony's Hospital from wounds suffered half a mile south of the CNR roundhouse. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Allen Knoll. He and two companions Kim Johnson and Bobbie Halliday had gone into the bush that morning.

Liquor Referendum Passes on The Pas Reserve
Residents of The Pas Reserve voted 123 for to 29 against to allow liquor sale on the reserve. Indian Affairs officials will seek Ottawa approval. A previous referendum failed after ministerial intervention over low turnout. Manitoba Indians may buy from the liquor commission but cannot purchase on reserve without a local referendum. A Band Council must unanimously agree to hold such a vote.

Judy LaMarsh pushes CBC study on north Manitoba TV

The Pas hosted the KIN Fall Council for District 2 with 110 registrations. Civic Affairs Group Endorses Three Candidates
A civic group in The Pas formed The Pas Civic Affairs Committee to discuss town affairs and endorse three municipal candidates. The panel, drawn from civil service, rail, and business, planned quarterly dinners with council and school board members and will not fund endorsed candidates’ campaigns. The group endorsed three candidates for next Wednesday’s town election and eyes 1967 civic involvement.
