Elks Lodge 125 of The Pas marked its 40th anniversary with a banquet at the Legion Hall on Saturday November 5 attended by about 175 Elks and Ladies of the Royal Purple. Thirty five visitors from Snow Lake Thompson and Flin Flon lodges joined the event. Bro E O Stewart of Brandon, Manitoba Elks Association president, gave the keynote address. After dinner, eligible members received pins and Jack F Graham, the lone charter member present, was awarded a forty year service pin by Immediate Past Grand Exalter Ruler Bro A Dominick.
The ladies of Royal Purple were deprived of a $300 expense and an electric wall clock for the hall, with a social and dance at the Elks Hall closing the evening pleasantly. Tickets for the Steel Raffle Operation Lotta Bull are due by Friday November 25. An executive meeting is set for 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday November 16 in the Hall clubroom.
