Division studies insurance for Kelsey Schools

The Kelsey School Division budgets 30000 to insure five buildings for a year. Vandalism and willful damage insurance have not been purchased since the early 70s. Brokers note vandalism costs are high and largely unavailable nationwide. Five break ins caused 3275 in damage and 725 stolen. insurance will cover only 250 per incident. The division considers a pooled self insured program using 2 million annual premiums.
