Directs that lands remain closed to prospecting until reopened and that withdrawn sand and gravel rights may be worked only under subsection 3 or subsection 5 of Section 6. This establishes conditional use of mineral rights pending future reopening.

Honorable mention went to Gerald Anderson and Gaye Cameron of Kelsey. Clean-up week in The Pas begins May 16 with four local groups painting a house by lot: Elk's, Lions, Kinsmen, and The Pas Town employees.
Jack Loewen, winner of the Name the Halil Contest sponsored by the Ukrainian Catholic Church on First Street, will see the hall renamed NOR-LITE Hall. The Ukrainian Catholic Young People invite all participants to attend the renaming event.
Church notices list multiple services and events at H Wildeman home and nearby farms with Sunday School at 9:45 and worship at 11:00, communion at 11:15, plus Bible study sessions, youth and choir activities, and a May rally with delegations from several cities.

Funeral services were held on April 9 at Mount Bruno United Church St Bruno Quebec for Charles Douglas Prescott of The Pas Manitoba with Rev Glenn Lucas conducting. Burial followed at Mount Royal Cemetery Montreal. He is survived by his wife Norah and daughter Noreen Paxton.
Barbara Doherty led the tribute as attendees praised the caretaker's thoughtful acts. The group sang For He's a Jolly Good Fellow, then gym night featured exercises led by Captain Joanice A. Joe Smith, with dancing and limbo. A game of house on fire followed, ending with a sing along and Taps.
