Russell celebrate 50th wedding anniversary in The Pas
Mr and Mrs Alex Russell were honored at a surprise dinner and reception on Sunday March 28 at the home of their daughter and son in law Mr and Mrs Bud Moreton to mark their 50th wedding anniversary. They wed in Winnipeg March 30 1921. They moved to The Pas in 1926 and have three children Dr Jim Russell Saskatoon Mrs Bernard Allard Georgine Nelson BC and Mrs Bud Moreton Pat The Pas Man. A gift from friends was presented by Ed Barker of Winnipeg with wife Ethel. Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs John Serle Neepawa. Congratulatory messages came from several relatives across Canada.
