Selk Cited by Order of St John for Safety Work

Lloyd Selk of the Priory of Canada received a special recognition award from the Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem for his service to the safety program. Dave Bown noted the award during a March 12 safety dinner, as the company celebrated five years without a lost time injury by mill stores technical and security departments.

Resignations by Grundy and Toews Shake Kelsey Board

Two leaders quit at a Kelsey School Division meeting on March 15. Henry Toews of Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute will leave June 30 1976 to become principal of Black Forest Academy in Lorrach Germany. Harold Grundy will resign as School Superintendent to become principal of Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School in Brandon effective end of 1975-76. Chairman Harry Harapiak praised both for service and integrity.

Lion's Snowmobile-a-thon draws strong turnout in tough conditions

The Pas Lions Club held its Snowmobile-A-Thon at Clearwater Lake on March 6 with 40 entrants. Riders faced white-outs and drifting snow after lunch, yet spirits stayed high as courses were completed and coffee and hot dogs fuelled the racers.

Winter Golf Tournament at Pasindco Club Opens Saturday

Trappers' Festival Objects to CBC 24 Hours Program

Manitoba Bill Extends Animal Control Powers to Districts
