Second stage set for allowable rent increase in Manitoba
Manitoba announces an 8 percent allowable rent increase for residential premises from October 1, 1976 to September 30, 1977 under the rent restraint program. Landlords may not raise rents until one year after a prior increase and must follow three months notice rules. Rent review options allow adjustments above or below 8 percent, with decisions by Rent Review Officers and appeals to the Rent Stabilization Board. For forms contact Manitoba Rent Review, Winnipeg, 379 Broadway, phone 957 0455.
