Pas council approves mill rate splits in 1967 budget
The Pas Town Council set 1967 mill rates with residential property at 54.5 mills and commercial at 78 mills, a 16.5 mill drop for homes but a 7 mill rise for business. The Kelsey School Budget shed 29 mills yet council added 12.5 mills, due to changes in grants in lieu of taxes for government property. The shift stems from Manitoba Government formula changes affecting Hydro, Telephones, and the Liquor Control Commission.
