The Pas Arena hosts a Saturday festival with multiple contests and prizes from 7:30 p.m. Five prize events include Beard Growing, Moose and Goose Calling, Labatt's Trophy dog race, Tug-O-War, and 50 mile Autoboggan. Finalists compete for trophies and cash, with an all free admission Saturday event.
Acknowledges TRANSAIR for transport of the Queen and Princesses to Winnipeg and IMPERIAL TOBACCO for transport during the Festival. Thanks Manitoba Department of Welfare for sponsoring the Indian Arts and Handicraft Exhibition and the Department of Mines and Resources for sponsoring the Raw Fur Competition. Also notes Indian Affairs Branch financial assistance toward the Festival.
Thursday through Saturday schedule lists eight games and a final for the Marvin Ross Trophy. Matches feature teams such as Teachers, Knights of Columbus, CNA Zephyers, Friend Ship Centre, Tech School, Natural Resources, Elk's, Liberals, Conservatives, NDP, and winners compete in successive rounds culminating in the Marvin Ross Trophy final.
